Book Recommendation

Book Recommendation time! This week I'm recommending a really badass series I wish I hadn't fallen behind on. All the books are released but I don't own the last which makes me want to wait to get caught up until I own that final book. The series I'm talking about is Strange Angels by Lili St. Crow!

Here's a little bit about the first book that had me hooked from the very first page:

Dru Anderson has what her grandmother called “the touch.” (Comes in handy when you’re traveling from town to town with your dad, hunting ghosts, suckers, wulfen, and the occasional zombie.) Then her dad turns up dead—but still walking—and Dru knows she’s next. Even worse, she’s got two guys hungry for her affections, and they’re not about to let the fiercely independent Dru go it alone. Will Dru discover just how special she really is before coming face-to-fang with whatever—or whoever— is hunting her?

This is a really fresh series and just thinking about it makes me want to drop the book I'm currently reading and pick up this book. It's gritty, gruesome, and down right amazing. I really love the way this series is written and the characters that I can't wait to actually finish it and see how it all ended. Check it out peeps! Bet you will love it.

Book Recommendation

Book Recommendation time! Hope you're finding some awesome books to read and if not here is one you might like. This week I'm recommending you read Aurelia by Anne Ousterland!

Princess Aurelia is next in line to rule the kingdom of Tyralt, but she would rather be one of the common folk, free to learn and roam and . . . not marry the next tyrannical prince that comes courting. Naturally, the king wants Aurelia to marry for political power. Aurelia wants to marry for love. And someone in the kingdom wants her . . . dead. Assigned to investigate and protect Aurelia is Robert, the son of the king's former royal spy and one of Aurelia's oldest friends. As Aurelia and Robert slowly uncover clues as to who is threatening her, their friendship turns to romance. With everything possible on the line, her life, her kingdom, her heart, Aurelia is forced to take matters into her own hands, no matter the cost.

I wasn't much of a history buff when I first read this book. In fact stories set in history kind of bored me and were hard to follow. Then I read this book and I found I actually loved it. Anne Osterlund has a way with words and Aurelia and Robert are two of my favorites!

I haven't read the second book but I was so excited when I found out there would be a sequel. From what I saw on Goodreads it looks like there might even be a third book which makes me really want to get reading Exile so I can get caught up. If you're not to sure about history reads definitely make these two your first. Aurelia has nice pace and storyline.

Book Recommendation

Time for another Book Recommendation. I always love finding and hearing about new books so I hope that by making these posts I'm doing just that for you! This week I'm recommending you read Summer Boys series by Hailey Abbott!

To not spoil the whole series for you before you have a chance to read it, here is a little bit about the first book Summer Boys:

It's summer. It's hot. And it's time to hook up.

Cousins Ella, Beth, and Jamie are at their family's beach house, and they're gearing up for the wildest time of their lives. Sassy Ella is majorly crushing on a cute older boy -- who just happens to be her sister's new boyfriend. Meanwhile, practical Beth is surprised when she finds herself falling for her best friend George. And shy, creative Jamie gets her heart broken when her summer love abandons her.

Three girls, too many boys, and some seriously stormy romances...it all adds up to one unforgettable summer.

This series is a guilty pleasure for me. There is just something about it that had hooked me from day one. I love the characters, the setting, everything about it. Most of all I love Beth and George. They made this book and entire series for me. Check it out most definitely! Perfect summer read or winter read for those days you're wishing you had your toes in the sand.
